Copernicus Pro Resource Planning gives you full control of your resource allocation and can be used to forecast future business. We know that resource-planning tools are only effective if everyone in the company uses them and that all time is planned. We have therefore designed our Resource Planning module to be easy to use. The tool is effective for planning:

- Requests for roles/expertise/resources
- Internal time
- Absence
Copernicus Pro Resource Planning retrieves values from Copernicus Pro Project Planning, presenting coverage and available time in graphical histograms. Prospects and projects that have yet to be confirmed can also be included. These can be categorised in up to nine groups (for example, suspects/tenders for sales projects and concepts/pilot studies for internal projects), which are then weighted based on the likelihood of completion and total potential value, allowing them to be included in planning. With the option of making “soft” bookings, you can see a specific resource need, such as a role or form of expertise, well in advance.

With the help of Copernicus Pro Workflow, you can set up the system so it supports the company’s own processes during the request and allocation of resources. Resource managers can easily survey employees’ coverage and see which assignments they are booked for.
The Competence Database sub-module, which collects details of employees’ expertise and background in the one place, is a valuable complement to the Resource Planning module. Employees themselves can maintain and update their own information. While perfect for internal information sharing, the form handling function also makes it possible to extract relevant material for customers – a CV can, for example, can be printed out as an appendix to tenders.
